This two-day workshop is conducted at 3M’s fire test center, which is qualified under UL and Intertek guidelines for UL's Client Test Data Program and Intertek's Satellite Laboratory Program. The workshop consists of lectures, classroom activities, and hands on installation of firestop systems. The participants are quizzed, and a final test is given to ensure the participants are learning the concepts. After completing the workshop the participant will: 1) understand compartmentation and containment and why it is important,2) understand basic firestopping nomenclature and terms, 3) understand the testing requirements for a Firestop “Systems”, and 4) get experience installing various firestop systems incorporating 3M technologies/products. The participants will receive a “3M Trained” certificate and card upon completion of the class. The class will also tour the 3M Innovation Center. Space is limited.

FLIGHT ARRANGEMENTS
You are responsible for booking your own flight and paying for your travel expenses including airfare to and from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, taxi to the hotel and hotel expenses.
Arrival – Plan to arrive anytime on the Tuesday before training begins. Training will begin on Wednesday morning. Please plan to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel at arrival.
Departure – Training will be complete late afternoon on Thursday. Please do not book any flights before 4 PM. There will be a bus that will take all attendees to MSP Airport once training is complete.
